Support our Youth and Professionals

Happendance is so much more than a dance studio. It is a diverse, equitable, and inclusive dance education center which offers a learning centered environment where dance is taught in our dance school, in K-12 schools , and in our Dance Lansing Community Dance Project as a holistic, developmentally- appropriate process. We teach much more than technique; we help students learn how to establish and achieve goals that match their personal interests, age, and physical development, and our performances encourage creativity and inclusion. Happendance’s need-based scholarship program allows under-resourced students to experience our unique and nurturing approach to dance education, our Education Exchange program provides supplementary funding to schools heavily utilizing the free or reduced lunch program, and our dance professionals attend DEI and continuing education trainings and evaluations. Your gift helps us make our unique approach to dance education and performance accessible and supports our professional dance educators as they continue to evolve their pedagogical approaches and strive for a diverse, equatable, and inclusive classroom.
